Beta Disclaimer
Neuscreen is currently in beta. Features, data handling practices, and this policy may change as the product evolves. We will notify users of material changes via email.
What Data We Collect
- Email address — used for authentication (OTP login) and account identification.
- Screen recordings — video and audio content you choose to record through the browser extension.
- Browser context events — clicks, scrolls, page navigations, and visible text captured during recording to power AI summaries and searchable timelines. Password and payment fields are excluded from capture.
- IP address — collected for analytics, rate limiting, and abuse prevention. Not shared with third parties.
How Your Data Is Stored
Recording files (video, thumbnails, context manifests) are stored in Cloudflare R2 object storage. Account data, recording metadata, and transcriptions are stored in a Neon PostgreSQL database. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate neuscreen:
- Deepgram — audio transcription. Recording audio is sent to Deepgram's API for speech-to-text processing.
- Anthropic (Claude) — AI-generated summaries and titles from transcripts and context data.
- PostHog — product analytics to understand how the app is used.
- Sentry — error monitoring and performance tracking.
We Do Not Sell Your Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data or recordings to third parties. Your recordings are yours.
Data Retention & Deletion
You can delete any recording from your dashboard at any time. Deleting a recording removes the video file, thumbnail, context data, and transcription from our storage. Account deletion requests can be made by contacting us at the email below.
